Overview

The Pacaya hike with a soft landing. Same 8:00 a.m. hotel pickup and the same walk up through pine forest and lava fields to the Cerro Negro viewpoint, with your guide sharing the volcano’s geology along the way.

After the hike we drive to the Santa Teresita thermal spa in Amatitlán for two hours in the thermal circuit — naturally heated mineral pools, towel and robe included. Then back to Antigua. Fire and water in one day.

A private departure — your group only. Minimum age 16, set by the spa.

The route

Same route as the Pacaya hike — about 2.8 km to the Cerro Negro viewpoint at 2,552 m — followed by roughly 2 hours at the Santa Teresita thermal circuit in Amatitlán before the drive back to Antigua.
